Get to know the NTEAA
In December 2008 members from NTEAA stopped by and took a look at the Mercedes SLK that we have converted to a pure electric powered car.
NTEAA, or North Texas Electric Auto Association, is the North Texas affiliate chapter of the Electric Auto Association (better know as the EAA). Established in November 1995, the NTEAA has goals of supporting EV (Electrical Vehicles) enthusiasts, and to promote and educate the public regarding the benefits electric vehicles.

Dallas Police Department had to investigate
When Dallas entrepreneur Stevan "Steve" Hammond got pulled over Thursday for speeding on Northwest Highway, the cop asked him to pop the hood of his two-door Mercedes sports car. There was something odd about the speedy-but-silent machine. The dark blue convertible with lightening streaks is a product of Steve's Dallas company, EVX Laboratories, which converts a standard Mercedes SLK 350 gasoline car into a pure electric, zero-emission vehicle.
EVX plans to start marketing its Mercedes conversion in summer 2009. Plans are also on the board for EVX to start converting the Mercedes C300, C350 and the ML63 AMG.
